Sad

At 27 months, I begin a reluctant process of weaning Ryan.

When it came time today(still one of a few),

I said to him: Mommy has no more num num for Ryan.

Ryan taps me gently on my chest and asks softly: Is mommy sad?

And I nod my head...

I ask him: Is Ryan sad?

Ryan: Ye-es.

He lays his head down on me, and we comfort each other.

Manners

Ryan sits up in bed this morning

Sneezes "Ha Choo!"

Blinks

and says, "S'cuse me!"
